Drew Lefrank placed second in the men's m with a time of 2: Multiple Huskies sprinted to personal bests in the 60m with Ryan Hebb 7. Matthew Smith record two 6th place finishes in the shot put and high jump, and an 8th place finish in the long jump. As the throws portion of the meet continued on Sunday, the Huskies placed well with Emily Batt and Gabrielle Walthers placing 4th and 5th in the women's shot put, and Isaac Smith placing 5th in the men's shot put.
Well done to all who competed! The HSMU team was composed of 8 selected athletes who had performed well in the meets leading up to this weekend. The Huskies had a strong showing and competed well against some of the best in the country.
The meet started Friday with first year's Avran Makkar and Matthew Carlton competing in the 60m dash. Both competed well with Makkar and Carlton finishing 3rd and 2nd in their heats respectively.
Both will benefit from the experience come AUS Championships time in month.
McGill Track & Field Cross Country
Peverill and Lefrank competed in the same heat, each slightly bettering their personal bests with Peverill posting a 2: The event featured a field of Four X-Women competed in the person long jump event including Lani Deakin who was 14th at 4. Friday's men's events featured the 60m dash, m, m, long jump, high jump, 35lb hammer throw, 4xm relay, 4xm relay, pole vault and heptathlon. The X-Men had entries in all but the two relay races, pole vault and heptathlon. Adrian Kinney continued his strong sprinting with a 7th place finish in the finals of the 60m dash.
