Yukiji appears, shocking the three with an unusually cheerful attitude, giving Hinagiku a New Year's allowance because of a promise Yukiji made with her 10 years ago although it was only yenand shocking them even more after they found a letter of resignation which dropped from Yukiji's bag. After Hayate and Nagi rushed to the Hakuou Three Amiga, he tells them that Yukiji is quitting her job as their teacher, and find that hard to believe, but Yukiji replied to them as a "yes".

The resignation letter actually belonged to Shiori who found being Yukiji's superior harder than she thought. Yukiji was happy because she found many signs of good fortune. Hinagiku gives Yukiji a piggy back ride to her room after beating her up. Looking at their respective characters as shown in the manga however, Hayate and Nagi are definitely not a bad match for each other.

In fact, you could even say they were made for each other in certain ways. The Age Difference Between Them Is Perfect Yes, you could say that Nagi is too young for Hayate right now, but look at it this way, Romeo and Juliet, widely considered by many to be an exemplary love story have characters who are the same age as Hayate and Nagi.

Windless calm and gust of wind seem like they were made for each other for me.

Nagi Sanzenin

Nagi has been stated in the manga before to be extremely lucky. Very simply… because Hata wants to keep the other ships afloat for as long as possible — they help to keep his manga profitable, after all. Unlike other series like Zero no Tsukaima wherein the hero and the heroine were basically officially a couple long before the ending, the ships have become so integral to keeping Hayate No Gotoku!

Alive and profitable that I believe Hata is very reluctant to have Hayate show any concrete romantic feelings for Nagi before the manga is ready to really end. This way, he can keep stringing along all the shippers and keep everyone guessing until the very end. As much as the story is about Hayate, it is also about Nagi. Seems like she has overcome her fear of height already! Well then, his loss; Hinagiku should just walk away from his life with dignity.

The same goes to fellow Hinagiku fans. All her struggles and development proved that Hinagiku is an amazing character, and I am proud to be a Hinagiku fan. And then there comes the one thing that I hate most: Instead of being satisfied with a proper ending, people are now once again bound to ask: Maybe this is the purpose of the additional content, after all, as everyone would want to know what their beloved characters would be doing after the time skip.

Well, at least we do know the whereabouts of Chiharu and Kayura: Nagi served as some sort of butler herself for the two, waking them up in the morning and preparing breakfast for them. Worse, the inconsistency is noticed on the same page. Now that Nagi had no money and no Hayate for nowshe finally dedicated herself to be a better person and her efforts paid off.

She might still not be at the absurd levels of Hayate, but she has done reasonably well. And so we reached the final nine pages of the entire series, which are dedicated to the final reunion of Hayate and Nagi.

Hayate no Gotoku! Final Chapter | Hayate Report

Apparently Hayate had been secretly protecting Nagi in the dark; Nagi might have noticed this for some time already, but she finally called him out this time. Nagi proudly declared that she had done very well on her own in the past two years, only for Hayate to express his own feelings that he wanted to be with her.

The two held hands and… the end! As far as ending goes, this seems to be a rather polarizing one: Again, I do not object to the Hayate-Nagi ship in principle; I am only not happy with the — admit it — lousy way Hata handled this ship. Before I go on, let me ask you one simple question: Really, the Wataru-Saki ship has a lot in common with the Hayate-Nagi ship:
