Tybalt is Juliet's cousin, i.e. a Capulet. After he kills Romeo's BFF, Mercutio, in a street brawl, Romeo mortally stabs him, which causes Romeo to be banished. He approaches Benvolio and Mercutio and asks to speak with one of them. make the lovers' romance seem even more precious and fragile—their relationship. Everything happens because the two families are foes. Romeo is both friend and enemy to Juliet. Romeo tells the apothecary, who is afraid of selling him the poison, that the world is not your friend. Romeo may think so.

And there is a lot of bite when Mercutio curses the two families at his death. Do you consider romantic partners to be friends? What happened to make that person your enemy? Do you feel the reactions of characters in the play toward their enemies is realistic or exaggerated? Write a song in which you use the word friend to mean loved one.

It would be common practice to get married at 13 years of age. Normally, parents chose their child's partner and this would be based on wealth, potential titles and family ties.

Mercutio does not think that Romeo should get involved with Juliet, that it will only cause a monster headache and that it will never work out. Although Mercutio is a sort of tough guy, his goal is to keep peace between the families.
