And, somehow, these two just click together perfectly. Of course, with such strong chemistry as friends, naturally, feelings develop.
Because, really, when you only have those three years to complete your high school dreams, it does often keep you from developing anything outside of that.
I will say this time and time again but, I rather prefer that slower relationship progression.
This is alien to me. Another thing that makes me enjoy club manga is the things we get to learn about the particular interest of the main character. Watching Tsubasa learn the trumpet was entirely unique and offered a lot of information that I never even considered about playing an instrument.
I mean, my experience goes as far as piano, and the physical requirements of playing it are nothing compared to the trumpet.
Tsubasa has to train her abs and lungs through hours of sit-ups and running to be able to do it. In a nutshell, I am not cut out for brass band.

Tsubasa must also learn the unique way in which you have to position your mouth before you can even begin to get a tune out of a trumpet. She must also continue to run something like kilometers a day, as well as practice playing the trumpet while doing a V-situp. Which sounds super fun. Again, I think this is why I like club manga.

But realy, to love something enough to put your body through hour days of practice, only to go home, crash, and wake up early to do it again. Aozora Yell covers these feelings as we watch Daisuke and Tsubasa learn and grow.14 Signs It's Time To End Your Relationship - animated video

Naturally Tsubasa and Daisuke end up in the same homeroom. Himari, also, I cannot figure out her motivation exactly, but her personality is really bright and for whatever reason she really does become friends with Tsubasa.

Kido has a huge crush on Himari. Ironically the actor who played him was also an ace pitcher in rubber baseball at his own high school.
Tsubasa goes to join the brass band and it is… difficult. Come back when you can.
Aozora Yell | Revolvy
I found this part actually pretty unbelievable because I joined marching band in college having not played a brass instrument before, and they started me on euphonium, and while I was able to learn to play a B flat scale in 3 weeks and marched with the band that semester, it took me a LONG time to be able to play decently, AND there is no way I could do that with a trumpet.
Trumpet playing is HARD. The embouchure alone is tough to master, let alone playing it in different registers and making it sound good. Of course, all of the band members are kind of jerks towards her, or at least many are. Written artifacts are kind of a thing in this movie.
Suffice it to say that it is a happy ending and almost every one of these plots and characters gets tied up in a way that is beneficial for them although it is never clear whether Kido and Himari ever hook up or not.
