As part of the anticipated service agreement K12 will employ someone whose job will be leading the recruitment and enrollment process. HH Passport Academy representatives will meet with community stakeholders throughout the Hill District and surrounding Pittsburgh areas to spread the word and recruit students. Information sessions open to interested families and the general public will be held throughout the Pittsburgh area as well as online. Information sessions will be advertised in various print and electronic media.
During these sessions, prospective parents and students will have the opportunity to interact with the HH Passport Academy curriculum, including lessons and materials, and have questions answered. HH Passport Academy may participate in organized grade-appropriate awareness activities such as school-sponsored events. HH Passport Academy will establish a website and will use this as the primary mechanism to communicate with interested, prospective families.
After initial enrollment is finalized, parents of students enrolled in HH Passport Academy will be invited to a parent orientation session that will be conducted. At the orientation session, parents may meet the school administrative staff, teachers, and possibly other K12 representatives. Sessions will be designed to inform parents about navigating the program, technical support, lesson delivery, effective communication, and school policies.
The assessment of these strategies is also used to develop a long-term, multi-year marketing plan which takes into account re-enrolling students and the amount of marketing investment needed to attract new students in order for the school to meet its enrollment projections. Our primary non-academic goal for students is to develop qualities of mind and character helping students develop into active, thoughtful, and responsible citizens of society. There are times when students need a lot of additional non-academic supports in order to focus on their academics, which is why HH Passport Academy will build an Advisory program and additional supports that include many non-academic wrap-around services to serve the whole student.
In order to ensure students are properly supported academically at HH Passport Academy, all teaching will be properly trained and supported by Administrators with ongoing evaluations and feedback. Training will be provided to teachers to assist them in supporting students and families effectively.
Training certificates will be collected as proof of completion. The Administrative team or Head of School will use formal and informal evaluation tools to consistently evaluate teaching staff performance throughout the school year. Feedback will be shared with individuals during follow-up meetings to go over actual performance and to identify potential areas of growth or improvement. Evaluation results and feedback will be compiled by the Administrative team and can be shared as proof to stakeholders requesting information.
Parents will attend information sessions, open houses, or orientation sessions to learn about the importance of their role and how they can support their students succeed at HH Passport. Physical or digital copies of signed School Compact will be tracked and held onto by school staff. Teaching staff will administer weekly Advisory sessions to groups of students. All students will have a portfolio of work completed during the Advisory Program that focuses them on post-secondary plans and outlines plans for the future.
Increase student achievement in mathematics for all students. The school will administer a baseline assessment in the fall and again at the end of the school year to determine growth metrics. Students will receive remediation and targeted intervention strategies throughout the year when skill deficits are identified by teachers.

The school will track attendance of all students on days of state assessments and incentivize students to participate in state testing.
