You will find quite a diverse and international crowd there. Enrol in a sporting course or participate in a sightseeing tour. You may also enrol in a language course at the university language centre. There were free guided tours inside. This was free to go inside and interesting because it was very modern.
Ways of socialising in your host country
It is very beautiful to walk around and there was a maze in the gardens and a bird display. If you are near it is worth visiting. Daniella, Polish London My mother and sister came to visit me for a weekend in London.
We visited Madame Tussauds and the Planetarium. It was quite expensive but Madame Tussauds was really worth it. Then we went to Soho and walked around the shops.
In the afternoon we saw the musical Fame which was fantastic and then we walked to Covent Garden. Covent Garden was very lively with a lot of people and street entertainers. The queen was there when we went to visit and so the flag was flying. There is a huge doll's house filling a whole room which was really fun to see. Afterwards we went in to the town of Windsor which was really pretty.

The ferry is right beside the railway station. The ferry took 20 minutes and then we arrived at Ryde in the Isle of Wight. It was a hot day so we took a bus to Sandown where there was a nice beach.
